HVAC Repair in Lawson, MO

We have completed more than 400 jobs in Lawson, most of them service and repair calls. We are about twenty minutes west in Kearney.

What We See in Lawson Homes

Lawson is a small town with a lot of rural property around it, and the work is mostly repair rather than replacement: propane furnaces, heat pumps, and systems that owners maintain and keep running for a long time.

If you are out on a rural property, drive time is often what keeps people from calling. We are close enough that it is not an issue, and we would rather you call early than wait until a small problem becomes a no heat call in February.

What Our Lawson Customers Say

"Amazing business and amazing customer service! We had another company out 3-5 times in our first year of being in our home to try and figure out why our house couldn't stay cool. After one look from Shanks, they found the issue and fixed it for a very reasonable price! We will call them for all our HVAC needs from now on!"

- Clarissa H., Lawson

"Time for the air conditioner to get its yearly check up. Have always been very satisfied with Shanks and today was no different! Zane was our service tech and as usual did an awesome job! He also installed a new thermostat for us. Everything is running great!"

- Kim K., Lawson

"Nick was here when it was installed originally and was my tech today. Very personable and professional, he answered my questions quickly and courteously. Great value and did not try to upsell me on anything. These are good people to do business with and I will be using them again!"

- Doug B., Lawson

Straight Answers on Price

Our service call fee is $89. You get a written price before any work starts, and nothing happens until you approve it.

After hours, weekend and holiday calls do cost more than a weekday visit. If you are a maintenance plan member, you receive a discount on that charge.

Repairs carry a one year guarantee on parts and labor. On installations we include a one year labor warranty and can extend labor coverage up to ten years. Ask us for the options when you get your quote.

Hours and Emergency Service

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for emergency service.

Outside those hours our emergency line is answered, not by voicemail. If your heat is out in January or your air conditioning quits in July, call (816) 258-2056 and you will reach someone who can triage it and get you scheduled.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a service call?

$89. You get a written, itemized price before any repair work begins, and we do not start until you approve it.

Do you charge more for nights and weekends?

Yes, after hours, weekend and holiday calls cost more than a standard weekday visit. Maintenance plan members receive a discount on that charge.

What warranty do you offer?

Repairs are guaranteed one year on parts and labor. Installations include a one year labor warranty, and we can extend labor coverage up to ten years. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which we register for you.

Should I repair or replace my system?

If your system is over 12 to 15 years old, needs repeated repairs, or uses R-22 refrigerant, replacement usually costs less over time. Under 10 years with a single failed part, repair is almost always the better value. We will show you the failed component and the test readings and give you both prices.

Are your technicians certified?

Yes. We have NATE certified technicians and we are an American Standard dealer.

Do you pull permits?

Yes. Every replacement that requires a permit gets one, and we schedule the inspection. Our permit history across the metro is public record.

What brands do you service?

All major brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and American Standard.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Wells Fargo. Applying does not affect your credit score.
